The Wild West’s dream of a second win against the Dream Team became to reality on the 24th of July. This comes after their first defeat of the Dream Team in the highly controversial match last month, which saw the game finish before the final whistle. Spectators (if there were any...) would have seen history repeats itself, as this game was no less controversial than the first.
Most of the match (approx. 40 mins. of an hour game) was dictated by the Dream Team, resulting in a 5-2 lead. However the game became more balanced after Danillo the Joker joined WW and they levelled the score to 6-6. Things began to heat up as the sides remained level (first at 6-6, then at 7-7) until the last 8th goal was scored by David. It was first winning moment in the match for WW and they maintained their lead for the last crucial seconds of the game, resulting in a final score of 8-7 to WW.
Why then the match was controversial?
In the last action of the match Adam scored his first goal, from the Artur pass levelling the sides once more, however at the same moment the referee blew his whistle signalling the end of the match with result 8-7 for WW.
A controversial call maybe, but a decision that was ultimately accepted by both sides.
